Picture it: Eckhart Public Library, 2017 May 30th 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm This year marks the 25th anniversary of the series finale of The Golden Girls. Help EPL celebrate the iconic series by demonstrating your knowledge of all things Golden Girls. Register in teams of up to four friends. The winning team will receive gift baskets including books, chocolate, and gift cards. Refreshments (including cheesecake) will be served. MENSA Admissions Test

It's time again for the MENSA Admissions Test, Saturday June 3, 2017 at First Presbyterian Church Room 304 in Downtown Fort Wayne. Registration begins at 9:30am, testing begins at 10:00am.

$40 and photo ID required to take the test' Those wishing to test must be age 14 or older. Reservations or prior notification are not necessary, walk-ins are always.

Parking is available in the lot at the corner of Webster and Berry Streets on the north side of First Presbyterian Church.

PBS39 Explorer Day

PBS39’s fourth annual Explorer Day will take place, rain or shine, on Saturday, June 3 from 10:00am to 2:00pm on the grounds of PBS39 located at 2501 East Coliseum Blvd. Admission to this event is free.

This annual fun fest at northeast Indiana’s public television station features a variety of activities for children and families, from story time sessions, science experiments, music, games and more. Interactive entertainment, including demonstrations, art projects and sing-alongs from local childrens’ bands will be part of this fun mix. A mascot parade is scheduled for 10:30am, led by PBS39’s own mascot, Ryder. Area food trucks will also be on site to provide refreshment for kids and their families. Local first responders, featuring a display and interaction with the Fort Wayne Fire Department will also be on hand.

Admission to this special event is free, as is parking. Parking will be available in the former Verizon Building parking lot located at the intersection of Trier Road and East Coliseum Boulevard, in addition to limited event parking on the Coliseum Boulevard side of PBS39.

We're pleased to be bringing back our Free Outdoor Movie Series with the help of Ivy Tech Community College on Saturday, June 3rd! And we're kicking it off by celebrating the 40th anniversary of Star Wars debut by showing Episode VII: The Force Awakens! As usual, we'll have all sorts of fun things happening around the movie, we'll block off the parking lot to make it pedestrian friendly and have an inflatable screen!
